The drawings "Open Sky" was part of a series Masha Reva created on the occasion of a fundraising program launched to raise money for humanitarian organizations and civilian initiatives active in the Ukrainian territories affected by the Russian invasion.

"The series of works created for this exhibition is an image diary that exposes an unacceptable presence of genocide and pain brought by russian invasion in Ukraine. But also, it is the invincible mystical power of nature, of our mother-land, where seasons come no matter what, and people go out to welcome the spring in the fields." – Masha Reva

Masha Reva was born in Odesa, Ukraine, in 1987 and lives and works in Kyiv.
She is a multidisciplinary artist with a background in fashion, working in different mediums, including art direction, set, textile, and fashion design; her practice includes several collaborations with Simone Jacquemus, Pepsi Co, and Rachel Comey, Rijksmuseum, Nadiia and many more. A distinctive feature of Reva's practice is an exploration of her “line.” Her drawings cover all kinds of surfaces, from murals, jewelry, pottery, and textile design to the human body.
