On June 26, Cuban visual artist Hamlet Lavastida was unlawfully incarcerated for his active role in raising awareness against state repression in Cuba. Join us in a special conversation with visual artist Marco Castillo from Los Carpinteros; Chief Curator at MUAC, Mexico City, Cuauhtémoc Medina; and writer, critic, and curator Gerardo Mosquera, moderated by TBA21 Curator’s Sofia Lemos, discussing the right to freedom of artistic expression and international solidarity for Lavastida’s immediate release.
