We Can't Breathe. Social Responsibility Project

Law, legality, legitimacy, or legitimation– are historically constituted, forged and framed, ratified and amended. The law is not justice. It offers, at any moment, the lived possibility of intervention. It is a perfectible, self-revising ensemble of norms and precepts that distills the knowledges and flaws of generations. To make the law and its norms more just and more equal, today and in the future-present, we want to join people around the world who strive to make it less blind, less “color-blind,” to oppose misconduct and forms of violence that are passed on from generation to generation. It takes a lot of courage to intervene where roads are blocked, to act where there is paralysis, and to push against the forces allied in racism, misogyny, xenophobia. But: There is justice, which means the relentless possibility of justice to come. Justice calls “come” to us, thwarting the walls of the present from fencing us in the im/possible.
